Two is better than one after all. I decided to buy a small
low power microwave oven of less than 600 watts, to make a cup of tea or a bowl
of soup. Maybe heat a sandwich. Run CF lights. Listen to my stereo. Right now I
run my boom box, but my 35 watt home stereo will run just fine. Now it seems to
me that many gadgets have small transformers on them to convert AC line current
to what ever DC voltage these things need. An example is my LCD monitor i use
to surf the web to do my web pages. The transformer for the LCD sez it needs
12VDC and 4 amps. It gets this from 120 VAC 50-60 hz. Why this is exactly what
my solar carts put out! and I can run 50 watts of CF lights and listen to my 15
watt boom box. cart #2 can run the microwave oven or some other lights. the
third cart coming on line can run my 19 inch CRT tv consuming 68 watts and a DV
player. That one is will be pure sine wave as well as #4 and #5. Eventually my
desktop PC will go renewable. My laptop has the transformer on it and can run on
any of them but i'll recharge the battery on the pure sine wave as well as all
my rechargable batteries.
