Here's a close up of the wiring and component placement.
Always use color coded wiring. Black is minus and red/yellow is positive. I used
crimp connections. I used 12 guage primary wire for all wiring. If I use 14
guage I double up by twisting together. Buy an electrician's wire stripper
crimping tool. It's worth the money and you never know when you can use it on
the car or around the home. NEVER SHORT CIRCUT THE BATTERY OR SOLAR PANEL! That
means touching wires together or laying a tool across the terminals or grabbing
the battery by the terminals. There are enough amps in this battery to cause
severe injury or death. besides you can damage the panel or batery. I purchased
an assorted pack of crimp lugs and terminals. Also needed are round head wood
screws and some hinges for the panels and machine screws, washers and nuts.
there's no set rule for size. maybe you have surplus laying around from some
other project. Needed is a drill and a saw. Power tools help speed production.
Once one cart is made AC tools cn be powered off that cart to make others. Scew
drivers, socket set and adjustable wrench needed also. I had all these things
acummulated over the years, so it was no problem.
