Here's first lite of my steampunk solar cart. This is a do it yer self project. My carts are not for sale. Make one yer self. Become an independent ragged and rugged uh-merikan! Are you P.O.ed about P.O.? Do something! Stick it to the man, cause the man is sticking it to you. I was toying
with the idea of building a Tesla coil. But what practical use would it have? I
already had the PV panels and the DC/AC inverter. A quick purchase of some
regulators and AGM deep cycle batteries and carts plus a few days work got me a
real working portable solar power station. The day was overcast but my pocket
digital multimeter indicated the system was charging. I spent 25 g's ona grid
tied PV system on my roof. But on numerious occasions I was getting "isufficent
solar" and the system would restart. I figgered the electric company's
electricity was so piss poor it was outside the my system's parameters. It
thought the grid had failed. In 1987 I bought five panels and two inverters. But
I didnt have have a installation location. They sat in storage all that time.
Being disgusted with grid tied PV I decided to get this surplus capacity online.
To put them on the roof or mount them on the property would involve building
permits and getting mixed up with the electric company again. Anyone can buy an
emegency back up generator and run it when the grid fails. This is the same
principle for my solar carts. They are portable back up emegency power. This is
a proof of concept build.
